About Us

Your hosts Caroline and Mike have lived in the village for many years and Caroline, who was born in the village, has family going back generations.

Caroline’s parents built Kerryanna Country House in 1966 and have been trading as a successful guest house for over 50 years. Handing over the reins to the most enthusiastic Caroline and Mike in 2020, who are now continuing with their incredibly high standards adding a modern and contemporary feel.

Mike and Caroline are both very active and fully embrace the good fortune of living in such a beautiful part of the world and are more than happy to share their local knowledge of the numerous walks, cycle trails, their favourite kayaking spots and their general knowledge of what the stunning county of Cornwall has to offer.

The property faces east and is situated in a unique position overlooking the village and sea beyond and is yet only a few minutes stroll down a steep hill into the village and the hustle and bustle of the working harbour, not forgetting that you have to return up the same steep hill back to Kerryanna! There is ample private safe parking and a large sun terrace where you can relax and take in the views with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

Mevagissey derives its name from two saints, St. Meva and St. Issey. Now a popular attraction for visitors from all over the world, the narrow streets and alleyways have cottages perched at crazy angles, an ancient harbour always full of interest, tiny shops, restaurants and old Inns with a typical Cornish seafaring atmosphere. Seafood specialties are a definite favourite of many visitors.

At the foot of our driveway is the local activity centre offering numerous facilities including a well-stocked gym, badminton, tennis and a bar, just to mention a few
